Departure to explore this fascinating region of lunar landscapes, formed over centuries on the thick and soft layer of lava sculpted by the two nearby volcanoes. We will continue with a visit to Pasabag or Çavuşin Valley. Next, a visit to Uçhisar Valley where you can admire the ancient fortress carved into the rock, the highest point in Urgup, offering panoramic views of all the valleys in the area. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the village of Avanos, today famous for its pottery; the craft of pottery dates back to the Hittite era and developed particularly in Avanos. We will have the chance to visit a pottery workshop. In the afternoon, visit the incredible underground city of Ozkonak or Kaymakli (visit to one of them), used by Christian communities as a refuge to escape persecution.
